A Country Lane (work in progress)

Oil on canvas 35 x 45 cm

I'm not sure how far to take this one. The lane looks more like a river than anything. I am wondering whether to change the colour, may be more pink and cream? I quite like the composition. I will probably tone down the yellow and greens too. I expect this will look quite different when I 'attack' it again....Hmmmmm!

this is like a little country path that I would walk along with my dogs just enjoying the view and quiet, just perfect.

You are a country girl like me....
I need those walks with my dog - my quiet time.

hi Carolann, i love those yellow fields, and the greens so much energy and light. i see what you mean about the colours in the path making it look more like a stream. it will be good to see how you tackle this or change the title as it is such a lovely piece. r.

I haven't any ideas about this one yet so will put it aside for now.

I like the bold stark colours, it makes for a very lively, interesting landscape.

Well I'm glad I've seen it before you 'attack' it as I think it's awesome!

Thanks Sharon and Liz, you are seeing things I hadn't thought were there so I need to review this one later. Cheers!

Wow - just catching up. The light you create in your paintings is inspirational.
